Mika Abele is an interdisciplinary artist who is passionate about community engagement, making, teaching and learning, and rocks of all shapes and sizes.
Her often whimsical making, writing and curatorial practices aim to connect people with their environment through imagination, sensory experience and joy. She works and lives on the stolen land of the xÊ·mÉ™θkÊ·É™y̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and sÉ™lilwÉ™taɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) nations.
